Stephen Hawking
Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS (born in Oxford, United Kingdom, January 8, 1942, age 69 years), is a theoretical physicist. He is the Lucasian professor of mathematics at Cambridge University and a member of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He is known for his contributions in the field of quantum physics, especially because his theories about cosmology, quantum gravity, black holes and Hawking radiation. One of his writings is A Brief History of Time, which is listed in the Sunday Times bestseller list in London for 237 consecutive weeks. In 2010 Hawking with Leonard Mladinow compile the book The Grand Design.
